BORDERLESS MEDIA is owned by Eric Bergemann and Melissa Rundle, an award-winning filmmaking and screenwriting team. After receiving their Master’s of Fine Arts degrees from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, the two went on to specialize in producing travel documentaries for today’s youth culture.
In partnership with travel TV host and writer La Carmina, they have built a passionate travel audience in the millions, on a variety of media platforms. Their travel video series is published on Yahoo Travel, Huffington Post AOL, and Business Insider, where they receive 500,000+ views each. Since 2012, they’ve filmed episodes about global subcultures in destinations such as Cape Town, Israel, Maldives, Cebu, Croatia, Hong Kong, Japan, Maui, Budapest, and more.
Their photography has also been showcased in a variety of fashion campaigns, such as the Sourpuss Clothing Company, Ray Li (China’s biggest fashion magazine), and the front cover and spread of Rebelicious Magazine UK. Melissa and Eric teach travel photography, film and editing workshops worldwide, including in Tokyo.
When they’re not capturing amazing sights around the world, Eric and Melissa work on producing, directing, and screenwriting in Los Angeles. They have produced or directed commercials for clients like Intel, W Hotels, and Random House and written for clients like Cartoon Network, Mar Vista Films, and Mosaic. Eric and Melissa also run Radius VR, a virtual reality production company that specializes in 360 degree / 3D immersive films and branded content, and they’re looking forward to helping pioneer this new medium.
Eric and Melissa work with La Carmina, who is described as “one of the best-known names in the blogging world” by Qantas Magazine, and was named one of the country’s best blogs by the CBC. She’s recognized for her TV appearances on “Bizarre Foods,” “Taboo,” “Oddities,” “ABC Nightline” and other popular shows. La Carmina runs a top travel & fashion blog and released 3 books with Random House and Penguin.
